Apply online at echs.gov.in → register with Service Number → fill details → upload documents → pay ₹177 → collect card from nearest Polyclinic.

Timeline: 10-15 working days. Valid 10 years.

Serving: All officers, JCOs, ORs — Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard

Ex-Servicemen: 5+ years service or medically discharged • War Widows • Dependents (spouse, unmarried children up to 25 yrs)

• Groceries at 10-15% discount
• Electronics (2 TVs & 4 ACs per 4-year block)
• Vehicles: Officers ₹20L, JCOs ₹10L, ORs ₹8L (+₹5L for EVs)

Offline (New applicants): Visit nearest Unit Run Canteen (URC) with documents, submit application, get verified — card couriered in 2-3 weeks.

Online (Existing data): If your details are already registered in CSD records, you can apply online from home via csdsmartcard.co.in — no need to visit the URC.

Note: No annual renewal needed — card valid 10 years. Lost card replacement also via csdsmartcard.co.in (₹229.50).
